Tasks

As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in SWISS's engagement in European SESAR research projects, working at the heart of our airline operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading technical developments, live operational validations, and implementing the Target Time Management System (TTMS) product in collaboration with industry partners.
  • Collaborating closely with other Operations departments like Flight Dispatch and Operations Control, as well as external partners such as Skyguide and Zurich Airport.
  • Designing and developing innovative and tailored solutions to business problems, testing them in operations by developing proofs of concept, and refining them into productive tools.
  • Providing technical expertise in back-end and front-end development for existing and new prototype tools.
  • Visualizing and presenting complex information to internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Generating insights from operational data sets and trial results leading to operational improvements.

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated new colleague eager to pursue innovative ideas, explore new technologies, and apply them in practice.

  • Master's degree in aviation, engineering, or data science, or a Bachelor's degree combined with substantial relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, ideally in the airline/flight operations industry.
  • Proven skills in Python or C#; experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, Dash) is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of modern IT practices (Cloud, DevOps, etc.) and an affinity for new technologies.
  • Ability to create clear and effective data visualizations, applying best practices to highlight key insights and support data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and argumentation skills; proactive and creative mindset; team-oriented.
  • Fluency in English (spoken/written); German is an advantage.
