Tasks

As a Data Analyst Intern, you will support various data projects, conduct ad-hoc analyses, and gain insights into how we enhance the operational data landscape of a global airline.

• Provide valuable data-driven insights to support decision-making within the SWISS Operations & Steering team.
• Create data visualizations, reporting, and interactive dashboards.
• Conduct insightful analyses to quantify key drivers aimed at optimizing SWISS operational performance.
• Contribute to our operational data landscape and support automation efforts.
• Foster data democratization and self-service capabilities across the company.
• Collaborate and effectively communicate data insights with various stakeholders from SWISS Operations departments.

Requirements

• Workload Specification: For this position, a 100% workload is preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL coding and a good command of at least one programming language (R or Python preferred).
• HF diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s students or graduates (HF diploma & Bachelor’s students must have completed at least three semesters) in an analytical subject, e.g., data science, engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, or related fields.
• A background in data science and/or data engineering is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently while being a team player with strong communication and social skills.
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills; competencies in analysis and management presentations.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• Very good English communication skills are required; knowledge of German and other languages is a plus.
