MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This role involves teaching Creative Dance to Primary and Middle School Students in grades 5, 6, and 7. The average number of teaching periods is between 26 and 28.

  • 2 positions available:
    • Replacement from 28th April 2025 to 30th June 2025
    • Permanent contract from 14th August 2025

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilizing and enhancing existing resources from The Juilliard Creative Classroom to teach dance to G5, G6, and G7 students.
  • Inspiring and motivating all students to explore and recreate dance in various forms.
  • Managing a group of students while fostering self-discipline and strong organizational skills.

SKILLS / QUALITIES REQUIRED

  • Qualification: A University Degree in Dance or a related field, along with a teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching dance, ideally in an international school setting.
  • Prior Skills and Knowledge:
    • Ability to build rapport with students and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
    • As a native English speaker or someone with equivalent fluency, you communicate effectively, encouraging students to be creative and thoughtful in their dance performances.
    • Team-oriented with a strong capability to meet deadlines.

It is essential for the post holder to remain aware of Child Protection guidelines while maintaining a professional distance from students, developing effective and caring relationships. Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
