MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The role involves teaching Creative Dance to Primary and Middle School students in Grades 5, 6, and 7, with an average of 26 to 28 teaching periods per week.

We have two positions available:

  • Replacement from April 28, 2025, to June 30, 2025
  • Permanent contract starting August 14, 2025

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize and enhance the existing resources from The Juilliard Creative Classroom to instruct dance to students in Grades 5, 6, and 7.
  • Inspire and motivate all students to create and recreate dance in a diverse range of styles.
  • Manage a group of students, fostering self-discipline and strong organizational skills.

SKILLS / QUALITIES REQUIRED

Qualification: You hold a University Degree in Dance or a related field, along with a teaching qualification.

Experience: You possess a proven track record in dance teaching, ideally within an international school setting.

Prior Skills and Knowledge: You have a strong rapport with students, excellent organizational skills, and fluency in English (native or equivalent). You communicate effectively, inspiring students to explore their creativity and reflect thoughtfully on their dance performances. You are capable of working collaboratively within a team and meeting tight deadlines.

CRUCIAL INFORMATION

It is essential for the successful candidate to remain vigilant regarding Child Protection guidelines while maintaining a professional distance from students, all the while building effective and caring relationships.
