We are currently seeking a full-time Customer Service Buyer to join our Sourcing team at our location in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. As a member of the Sourcing team, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between Customer Service, Engineering, Global Commodity Buyers, Quality, and Suppliers, ensuring that the right products are provided for our repair and overhaul operations in the Customer Service department. Responsibilities: - Ensuring accurate quotations of parts (SPOT and frame agreements) from our supplier panel - Utilizing standard quotation tools for any sales requests, whether internal or SISCO - Implementing the Services Regional Purchasing Strategy, which is organized per commodity, and utilizing our volume to strengthen our relationships with strategic suppliers - Adapting, developing, and streamlining the local/site supplier panel (not managed at the regional level) - Structuring strong relationships with suppliers through negotiations of SSA (Services Supplier Agreement) and annual agreements on partlists (catalogue of parts with or without consumption commitment from our clients) - Aligning suppliers' terms and conditions with the expectations of our customers and providing input to the OE Sourcing teams in supplier selections - Continuously identifying new actions to enhance the operational performance (QCD) of our Services business in coordination with the local or regional Sourcing team and the Services platform - Maximizing the QCD performance and competitiveness of our Services by conducting systematic TCO cost breakdown analysis - Managing the obsolescence process with suppliers and effectively communicating it to sales and product management, while proposing alternative solutions - Managing the resourcing of parts needed for the Services business in the event of an unforeseen supplier crisis Qualifications and Competencies: - A university degree in business studies, with some technical background being a plus - Ideally, previous experience in purchasing with a strong commitment, passion, and enjoyment for sourcing in a technical environment - Experience in negotiating with suppliers and effectively collaborating with internal stakeholders - Proactive and open-minded approach with excellent communication skills, enabling you to interact effectively with all functions within the company - Problem-solving attitude and mindset - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite - Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken, with German language skills being advantageous What we can offer: - Flexible working hours and a minimum of 25 days of holidays - A modern work environment at our smaller-sized site (~85 employees) in the beautiful city of Schaffhausen, where production and offices are located next to each other, facilitating easy communication and meeting for a coffee - Diverse opportunities for career growth within the international WABTEC enterprise, as we are a company that operates and manufactures the transport of the future - Canteen and restaurant options nearby, with a kitchen on-site - Language courses offered (German and English) - Annual bonus incentive program - Employee referral reward Please note that only applications matching the job profile will be considered.
