As part of the curriculum revision of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Architecture, the Department of Architecture (D-ARCH) at ETH Zurich is seeking to engage a Project Coordinator for 'Curriculum Revision.' The Bachelor curriculum revision process was initiated by the Department in January 2023, with the Bachelor program set to commence in HS 2025. Concurrently, the revision process for the Master program began in January 2025.

Position Overview

The Project Coordinator will support a steering committee that consists of the Director of Studies, the Study Coordinator, and the Educational Developer of D-ARCH. This position reports to the Executive Board and the Schulleitung. The coordinator will be integral in developing all aspects of the new curriculum throughout the various phases of the participatory process, including general concepts, detailed articulation, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Anticipate and plan the goals and milestones of the revision process.
  • Lead and facilitate the participatory process with various stakeholders.
  • Organize and conduct workshops, including preparing and editing discussion documents.
  • Assist in evaluating experimental teaching formats and initiatives that will inform the curriculum revision.
  • Set up and maintain physical and digital spaces as a public platform for the revision process.
  • Support the monitoring process for the BSc ARCH program.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in all aspects of teaching within an architecture school, including practice, reflection, teaching formats, competency development, and administrative tasks. A track record of engagement in these areas, coupled with an interest in change management, is essential. Familiarity with the educational environment of the Department will be considered an asset.
