Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Management of the Civil, Structural, and Architectural packages under your control, reporting to the CSA Manager.
  • Management of Site Safety in collaboration with the Project Manager, CSA Manager, and Mercury Safety Advisor, including the setup and closure of the safety file as part of the management team.
  • Management of Quality Assurance in conjunction with Mercury QA Manager, ensuring subcontractors follow Mercury QA/QC procedures and performing due diligence on Supervisors' checklists to maintain standards.
  • Management of Project Schedule, ensuring subcontractors submit their program and meet or exceed baseline program requirements.
  • Weekly reporting on site events that have a commercial impact on the project to the CSA Manager, ensuring all costs are captured and claimed if applicable.
  • Assistance in management of all design deliverables related to the CSA package, including reviewing drawings and technical submissions.
  • Management of day-to-day site operations, including coordination between CSA subcontractors and interfaces.
  • Management of subcontractor activities, ensuring progress tracking and weekly meetings on various topics.
  • Management of the Mercury “In Progress” snagging system, ensuring punch lists are distributed to all subcontractors.
  • Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, and Planning Meetings.
  • Closure of all project items with the support of the site project manager and your project team.
  • Issuing weekly reports on orders placed, expected materials, and labor levels to the CSA Manager and Planner.
  • Scheduling material deliveries to align with the project schedule, tracking critical deliveries.
  • Ensuring compliance with Mercury policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining a weekly project photographic diary and diligence on Supervisors' diaries and photo records.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Sub-contract and Supplier Tender Packages as needed.
  • Assisting with the assessment of Sub-contract and Supplier Tender returns for compliance with specifications.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • An engineering qualification or Construction Management qualification.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, etc.
  • Proven track record in coordinating and managing large projects.
