Crimp Technician - Contract - Irvine, CA

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Work on detailed production assembly tasks.
  • Operate and maintain equipment while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Adopt a hands-on approach with a strong attention to detail.
  • Troubleshoot and efficiently resolve issues.

Skills & Requirements

  • High school diploma or associate degree.
  • Proficiency in English for reading documentation, communication, and writing.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing instrumentation such as micrometers, calipers, and gauge blocks.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing, particularly with discrete assembly and robotics.
  • Knowledge of automated machines, tools, and production processes.
  • Basic understanding of arithmetic, algebra, or geometry.
  • Problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs as required.

Crimp Technician's Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor and maintain raw material feeds, clear stoppages, and address faults on automated equipment.
  • Use human-machine interfaces (HMIs) to identify and correct process control shifts.
  • Prepare raw materials and ensure timely job execution to meet delivery schedules.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical errors or safety issues using provided troubleshooting tools.
  • Utilize computer systems for material inventory and quality management processes.
  • Support new product design transfers, process development, and equipment/process validations.
  • Use measuring tools to ensure correct tolerances and product specifications.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for material handling, record-keeping, packaging, and shipment preparation.
  • Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment suitable for medical device manufacturing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation

The hourly pay ranges from $18 to $21.
