Join Our Team as a Manager, Content Marketing

We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Manager of Content Marketing for a 12-month maternity cover. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and activation of high-impact content that positions Johnson Controls as a thought leader in smart buildings. You will shape our narrative across various content channels—from paid media to social platforms and events—driving awareness, engagement, and growth.

Your Responsibilities

Drive Content Strategy & Planning

  • Own the annual content campaign map for the marketing squad, aligning it with global business priorities and leadership themes.
  • Communicate and coordinate with global marketing teams and related support functions to ensure the content plan can be effectively leveraged. Ensure that local content plans are synchronized and activated with global toolkit deliverables across key markets.
  • Develop and execute a global content strategy that supports our smart buildings agenda, which includes global studies, value proposition content, podcasts, white papers, webinars, and related support materials.
  • Develop quarterly briefs for weekly social media advertisements, working closely with the squad and other marketing teams to promote the leadership agenda of Johnson Controls.

Create Compelling Content

  • Craft captivating content in various formats: blog posts, social media updates, emails, podcasts, webinars, and sales enablement materials.
  • Leverage modern content tools—including AI-powered platforms—to expedite content creation.
  • Lead and collaborate on the development of content deliverables with input from subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and functional team members.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and storytelling across all touchpoints and share regular progress updates. Facilitate regular cadence calls to ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Manage internal and external creative resources to deliver high-quality, on-brand content.

Activation & Optimization

  • Drive best practice activation and/or hand-over to campaign or digital marketing teams.
  • Track content planning with business units across major business themes and strategic priorities to ensure alignment with messaging and approach.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align content with customer journeys and campaign goals.
  • Advocate for content excellence and innovation across the organization, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and quality throughout all formats and channels.

What We Look For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in global B2B content marketing, ideally within the technology or building solutions sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing strategic content plans that achieve measurable impact.
  • Strong storytelling skills, with a portfolio that showcases creativity and clarity.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills are essential.
  • Outstanding communication and project management abilities in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Deep understanding of global campaign planning, customer journeys, and activation best practices.
  • Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the building technology industry.
  • Native-level fluency in English.
