Consumer Neuroscience Director / Consumer Neuroscience Directoress

JT International SA - July 3, 2026

About JT International

At JTI, we are committed to building a new and robust science capability aimed at enhancing consumer choices. As we accelerate our Reduced Risk Products (RRP) ambition, we recognize that integrating scientific understanding is crucial in designing superior consumer experiences. This innovative approach presents a unique opportunity to influence a future where science informs innovation and supports a transition towards less harmful choices, all aligned with our Core Principles.

Our commitment to this ambition requires us to transcend traditional scientific methodologies. We are merging various scientific perspectives to gain a comprehensive understanding of how adult consumers perceive, experience, evaluate, and adopt products. This knowledge will allow us to create meaningful, engaging, and relevant propositions with real-world applications.

This newly established capability is designed to enhance scientific depth and rigor in how new product and experience concepts are shaped, tested, and implemented across JTI. By integrating multiple scientific disciplines—including neuroscience, behavioral science, sensory perception, and experience design—we aim to build a cohesive, science-led framework that provides a strong understanding of product experience and consumer behavior.

We go beyond superficial consumer feedback, diving into the underlying mechanisms that influence attention, perception, emotion, memory, choice, and behavior. This understanding will empower JTI to make informed decisions about which products and experiences will deliver meaningful value to adult consumers and ultimately aid in harm reduction.

Why It Matters

Over time, this capability aims to help JTI develop more fulfilling product experiences and promote lasting behavior change towards less harmful choices. By systematically understanding the mechanisms behind fulfillment, experience, and behavior, we can inform product design, validation, communication, and commercial execution across the value chain.

Why Join Now

This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up. In this dynamic role, you will help define scientific methods, standards, and partnerships, while collaborating with various functions to shape how science informs our product development, consumer experiences, and commercial decisions.
