Consultant Engineer Opportunity

We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for an individual to join our Paris Operations Engineering team as a Consultant Engineer, based in Switzerland. This position reports directly to the Group Manager Field Engineering.

Role Responsibilities

The Consultant Engineer will engage in the following key activities:

  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their businesses and support them in preventing and controlling losses.
  • Identify all hazards at client locations by conducting comprehensive on-site loss prevention evaluations to pinpoint foreseeable physical and human element exposures for various perils.
  • Accurately assess exposures at client sites to ensure the Account Team acknowledges the potential impact on business operations.
  • Implement measures to ensure the operational functionality of protective equipment at client locations, maximizing opportunities for loss mitigation and ensuring the maintenance of protection systems.
  • Engage with local clients to secure understanding and agreement on identified hazards and their potential impacts on business.
  • Drive practical on-site risk improvements through human element and maintenance programs, as well as low to moderate cost physical enhancements. Collaborate with Account Engineering to develop strategies for completing high capital improvement recommendations.
  • Demonstrate the unique engineering capabilities of the company, educating clients on loss prevention opportunities in collaboration with Account Engineering.
  • Proactively identify changes to mitigate associated exposures and provide timely, high-quality plan review services for medium complexity alterations to ensure loss prevention considerations are integrated at the design stage.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, qualified candidates must possess:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • A background in Loss Prevention Field Engineering.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a genuine commitment to improving risk management.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with logical analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Fluency in German, English, and French, both written and spoken. Proficiency in additional European languages is an advantage.
  • A willingness to travel primarily within an assigned geographical area, with occasional travel throughout the operational territory.
