How You Can Make an Impact

At Deloitte Global Trade Advisory, we are dedicated to ensuring our clients are well-equipped to navigate the growing and ever-changing challenges of global trade. As part of our team of trade compliance professionals, you will maintain an overview of the myriad of regulations governing international trade. Your role involves breaking down complex concepts of customs, export controls, sanctions, and sustainability laws into practical solutions. In essence, you will be integral to our mission of enhancing the resilience, compliance, and sustainability of our clients' supply and value chains while ensuring operational efficiency.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Understanding the legal and technical requirements of emerging trade compliance regulations and effectively translating them into business requirements, including Free Trade Agreements and regulations around customs valuation and tariff classification.
  • Driving and coordinating client projects related to these regulations.
  • Designing and implementing governance frameworks, processes, and systems to ensure compliance and operational continuity for our clients.

You will also conduct research on relevant legal topics, develop new service offerings, and participate in marketing activities. In the dynamic world of Global Trade, the pace never slows down!

Who We Are Looking For

  • An academic background in Law is highly desirable. We also welcome candidates with degrees in International Relations, Economics, International Trade, or similar fields, particularly those with a focus on regulatory compliance.
  • First professional experience, ideally related to supply chain compliance or international trade, is a plus.
  • You should possess entrepreneurial spirit, strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to transform new regulatory developments into service offerings while collaborating with other service teams.
  • A strong aptitude for legal and regulatory analysis with the ability to simplify complex legal texts into clear, actionable business strategies is essential.
  • Fluency in German and English is required; proficiency in French is an advantage.
