The Opportunity
The EY Business Consulting team delivers a wide array of functional and cross-country services, focusing on providing trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry. This includes sectors such as Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance. Given the tremendous changes and new challenges facing the Financial Services industry, this is an exciting time to join a dynamic team dedicated to aiding clients in navigating evolving market demands and customer needs. As a Consultant in our Transformation Execution Practice, you will play a key role in supporting challenging transformations across WAM, BCM, and insurance initiatives, designing, planning, and delivering effective solutions for our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Pursuing innovative business-led, tech-enabled transformation initiatives across the Financial Services sector.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, business partners, and multi-disciplinary teams to shape ideas, design solutions, and deliver measurable improvements in business performance.
- Applying storytelling skills and presenting recommendations to clients in a clear and analytical manner.
- Leveraging and developing our global EY methodologies, frameworks, tools, accelerators, and enablers for a variety of transformation objectives.
- Enhancing your skills through on-the-job client experiences and internal training opportunities.
- Facilitating internal and external roundtable discussions and thought leadership sessions.
- Supporting go-to-market and business development initiatives, providing valuable solutions for our clients.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Excellent academic record from a leading university or university of applied sciences.
- Strong motivation to work in a dynamic consulting environment and within the financial services sector.
- Experience with team-based projects, either from university or internships.
- A curious mindset, with the ability to systematically structure problems.
- Strong presentation skills coupled with a highly client-oriented approach.
- A proactive team player, eager to support solutions within diverse teams across functions and geographies.
- Fluency in English and German is essential; Swiss German and any additional languages are a plus.
Ideally, You Will Also Have:
- Initial work experience in consulting and/or Financial Services (e.g., internships or entry-level positions).
- Interest or experience in Target Operating Model (TOM) design and process improvements.
- Familiarity with Agile and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Interest in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria.
