The Opportunity
The EY Business Consulting team provides a wide range of functional and cross-country services designed to offer trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry. This encompasses Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance sectors. The Financial Services industry is currently experiencing significant transformation and new challenges, making it an exciting time to join our evolving team. As a Consultant in our Transformation Execution Practice, you will support complex transformations in WAM, BCM, and insurance initiatives, while designing, planning, and delivering solutions for our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Pursuing exciting business-led, tech-enabled transformation initiatives across the Financial Services sector.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, business partners, and multi-disciplinary teams to shape ideas, design solutions, and deliver measurable improvements in business performance.
- Utilizing storytelling skills to present recommendations to our clients in a clear and analytical manner.
- Leveraging and further developing our global EY methodologies, frameworks, tools, accelerators, and enablers for a range of transformation goals.
- Enhancing your skills through on-the-job client experience and internal training opportunities.
- Facilitating internal and external roundtables and thought leadership sessions.
- Supporting business development initiatives to continuously deliver valuable solutions for our clients.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Excellent academic record from a leading university or university of applied sciences.
- Strong motivation to join a dynamic consulting environment and work in the financial services sector.
- Experience in team-based projects (either at university or through internships).
- A curious mind with the ability to systematically structure problems.
- Strong presentation skills and a client-oriented attitude.
- A collaborative team player, willing to support solutions within motivated and diverse teams across various functions and locations.
- Fluency in English and German is mandatory; Swiss German or additional languages are a plus.
Ideally, You Will Also Have:
- Initial work experience in consulting and/or Financial Services (e.g., internships, entry-level roles).
- Interest in Target Operating Model (TOM) design and process improvements.
- Experience and/or interest in Agile and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Interest in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors.
