The Opportunity
The EY Business Consulting team provides a wide array of functional and cross-country services, delivering trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry across Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance sectors. As the Financial Services landscape undergoes significant transformation, now is an exciting time to become part of an evolving team and assist our clients in navigating changing market dynamics and customer needs. As a Consultant within our Transformation Execution Practice, you will support transformative initiatives in WAM, BCM, and insurance while designing, planning, and delivering tailored solutions for our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Pursuing innovative, business-led, tech-enabled transformation initiatives across the Financial Services sector.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, business partners, and multidisciplinary teams to shape ideas, design solutions, and deliver measurable, sustainable improvements in business performance.
- Utilizing storytelling techniques to present recommendations to clients in a clear and analytical manner.
- Leveraging and enhancing our global EY methodologies, frameworks, tools, accelerators, and enablers for various transformation goals.
- Developing your skills through on-the-job client experience as well as internal training opportunities.
- Facilitating internal and external topic roundtables and thought leadership sessions.
- Supporting go-to-market and business development initiatives to continuously offer valuable solutions to clients.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Excellent academic record from a leading university or university of applied sciences.
- Strong motivation to thrive in a dynamic consulting environment and within the financial services sector.
- Experience in collaborative, team-based projects (either from university or internships).
- A curious mind with a knack for structuring problems systematically and efficiently.
- Robust presentation skills coupled with a client-oriented mindset.
- Strong team player, proactive in supporting solutions across diverse functions and geographies.
- Fluency in English and German is required, with Swiss German or other languages considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial work experience in consulting and/or Financial Services (e.g., internships, entry-level positions).
- Experience or interest in Target Operating Model (TOM) design and process improvements.
- Familiarity with Agile and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Knowledge or interest in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors.
