The Opportunity
The EY Business Consulting team offers a wide range of functional and cross-country services aimed at providing trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry, particularly in Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance sectors. As the Financial Services industry undergoes significant transformation and faces new challenges, this is an exciting time to join an evolving team and assist our clients in navigating these changes. As a Consultant in our Transformation Execution Practice, you will play a pivotal role in implementing challenging transformations across WAM, BCM, and insurance initiatives, designing, planning, and delivering solutions to our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Pursue exciting business-led, tech-enabled transformation initiatives across the Financial Services sector.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, business partners, and multi-disciplinary teams to help shape ideas, design solutions, and deliver measurable, sustainable improvements in business performance.
- Employ storytelling skills to present recommendations to clients in a clear and analytical manner.
- Leverage and further develop our global EY methodologies, frameworks, tools, accelerators, and enablers for a range of transformation goals.
- Develop your skills through on-the-job client experience and internal training opportunities.
- Facilitate internal and external topic roundtables and thought leadership sessions.
- Support go-to-market and business development initiatives by providing valuable solutions for our clients.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Outstanding academic record from a leading university or university of applied sciences.
- Strong motivation to join a dynamic consulting environment and work within the financial services sector.
- Experience in team-based projects, either at university or through internships.
- A curious mind with the ability to systematically and organizedly structure problems.
- Strong presentation skills and a highly client-oriented attitude.
- A collaborative team player, willing to proactively support solutions within motivated and diverse teams across functions and geographies.
- Fluency in English and German is mandatory; Swiss German and any other languages will be considered a plus.
Ideally, You Will Also Have
- Initial work experience in consulting or Financial Services (e.g., internships, working student roles, entry-level positions).
- Experience or interest in Target Operating Model (TOM) design and process improvements.
- Familiarity with Agile and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Experience or interest in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors.
