The Opportunity
The EY Business Consulting team provides a comprehensive range of functional and cross-country services designed to deliver trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry. This includes sectors such as Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance. The Financial Services industry is undergoing significant transformations and faces new challenges, making this an exciting time to become part of an evolving team. As a Consultant in our Transformation Execution Practice, you will support complex transformations across WAM, BCM, and insurance initiatives, while designing, planning, and delivering solutions for our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Pursuing innovative, business-led, tech-enabled transformation initiatives within the Financial Services sector.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, business partners, and cross-disciplinary teams to shape ideas, design solutions, and deliver measurable and sustainable improvements in business performance.
- Utilizing storytelling skills to present recommendations to clients clearly and analytically.
- Leveraging and further developing EY's global methodologies, frameworks, tools, accelerators, and enablers for various transformation goals.
- Enhancing your skills through hands-on client experiences as well as internal training opportunities.
- Facilitating internal and external roundtable discussions and thought leadership sessions.
- Supporting market outreach and business development initiatives to continuously offer valuable solutions to our clients.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- An excellent academic record from a leading university or university of applied sciences.
- A strong motivation to thrive in a dynamic consulting environment within the financial services sector.
- Experience in team-based projects (either at university or during internships).
- A curious mind with the ability to structure problems methodically and organized.
- Robust presentation skills coupled with a highly client-oriented attitude.
- A strong team player willing to support solutions proactively within highly motivated and diverse teams across various functions and locations.
- Fluency in English and German is required; proficiency in Swiss German and any additional languages is advantageous.
Ideally, You Will Also Have
- Initial work experience in consulting and/or Financial Services (e.g., internships, entry-level positions).
- Experience and/or interest in Target Operating Model (TOM) design and process improvements.
- Experience and/or interest in Agile and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Experience and/or interest in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
