The Opportunity
The EY Business Consulting team provides a wide range of functional and cross-country services focused on delivering trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry, including Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance sectors. The Financial Services industry is undergoing remarkable transformation and facing new challenges. This is an exciting time to become a part of an evolving team and assist our clients as they navigate changing market dynamics and customer needs. As a Consultant in our Transformation Execution Practice, you will support ambitious transformation initiatives across WAM, BCM, and Insurance, while designing, planning, and delivering solutions for our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Pursuing innovative business-led, tech-enabled transformation initiatives across the Financial Services sector.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, business partners, and multi-disciplinary teams to shape ideas, design solutions, and deliver measurable, sustainable improvements in business performance.
- Utilizing storytelling skills to present recommendations to clients in a clear and analytical manner.
- Leveraging and further developing our global EY methodologies, frameworks, tools, accelerators, and enablers for a range of transformation goals.
- Developing your skills through on-the-job client experiences and internal training opportunities.
- Facilitating internal and external topic roundtables and thought leadership sessions.
- Supporting go-to-market and business development initiatives to continuously provide valuable solutions for our clients.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Excellent academic record from a leading university or university of applied sciences.
- Strong motivation to join a dynamic consulting environment and work in the financial services sector.
- Experience in team-based projects (either at university or internships).
- A curious mind with the ability to structure problems systematically and organized.
- Strong presentation skills and a highly client-oriented attitude.
- Effective team player, willing to proactively support solutions within motivated and diverse teams across functions and geographies.
- Fluency in English and German is mandatory; Swiss German and any other language is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial work experience in consulting and/or Financial Services (e.g., internships, working student, entry-level position).
- Experience and/or interest in Target Operating Model (TOM) design and process improvements.
- Experience and/or interest in Agile and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Experience and/or interest in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.
