Your support will be essential in strategy development, setting targets, evaluating climate risks and opportunities, measuring and reporting on progress, and contributing to go-to-market initiatives aimed at enhancing Deloitte’s sustainability proposition.

You Will Make an Impact By

  • Assisting clients on their decarbonization journey by minimizing business and climate-related risks across their value chains.
  • Guiding clients through quantitative and technical solutions such as climate scenario analyses for TCFD, Swiss Climate Ordinance, CSRD, and EU Taxonomy, enabling them to assess financial impacts and formulate net-zero transition plans.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to build quantitative climate risk and technical decarbonization modeling capabilities and expanding offerings in nature and biodiversity.
  • Conducting extensive research on a diverse range of environmental and sustainability topics including climate risks, climate change adaptation, responsible investing, and sustainable construction.
  • Effectively communicating with various stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management, to convey technical concepts and translate complex models into actionable business decisions.

Who We Are Looking For

  • You hold a master’s (or PhD) in climate or atmospheric sciences, environmental sciences, natural hazard modeling, ecology, energy management, engineering, economic modeling, or a related field.
  • You possess programming and data visualization skills (e.g., Python, R, Power BI) and are familiar with climate scenario analysis and decarbonization modeling.
  • You are passionate about sustainable development, especially in the areas of climate and nature risks, decarbonization, or GHG accounting.
  • You have some familiarity with key sustainability regulations (e.g., Swiss Climate Ordinance, TCFD, CSRD, EU Taxonomy) and can support the technical and scientific aspects of disclosure requirements.
  • You have the ability to clearly communicate complex topics and are fluent in English. Proficiency in either German (for Zurich) or French (for Geneva) is an advantage.
