Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to provide friendly and competent service to our guests regarding the hotel's offerings, other Seiler Hotels, and the beautiful destination that surrounds us.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guests with information and assist with any inquiries or problems they may encounter.
- Handle incoming and outgoing luggage, including storage for items such as skis, in collaboration with the ski manager.
- Complete a variety of reservations, including hotels, restaurants, ski instructors, mountain guides, hairdressers, rental cars, taxi and flight transfers, and train and plane seats.
- Monitor the circulation of internal and external mail as well as parcel posts for arriving and departing guests.
- Oversee luggage transfers from the train station or taxi stand to hotel rooms and back, coordinating with chauffeurs, coachmen, receptionists, and housekeeping staff.
- Ensure effective information management by maintaining promotional materials, brochures from Leading Hotels of the World and Swiss Deluxe, and Zermatt Tourism leaflets.
- Serve as the first point of contact in case of emergencies, coordinating responses and evacuation procedures during fire alarms or lift failures.
- Run various errands for guests upon request and strive to fulfill every wish.
- Ensure instructions and messages are communicated correctly and promptly, including mail and attendance information.
- Monitor the cleaning and work schedules of ski lift operators.
- Manage the inventory of all types of items and hygiene products, including games, cards, table tennis rackets, toothbrushes, shaving kits, adapters, and transformers.
- Maintain the fireplace in the hall, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Oversee the cloakroom and luggage storage to ensure guest safety and convenience.
- Verify key issuance for unfamiliar guests, ensuring security and safety protocols are followed.
