Daedalean AG is the artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomy hub of Destinus Group, a rapidly growing European defense and aerospace company dedicated to developing the next generation of autonomous drones, effectors, and flight systems. Our expertise encompasses computer vision, deep learning, and onboard reasoning—systems proficient in perceiving the environment, interpreting data, and making real-time decisions.
Your Role
Your primary objective will be to enhance the algorithms and models of Daedalean's existing product range, increasing their accuracy and reliability. Additionally, you will develop and implement new algorithms that extend the functional capabilities of our systems, ensuring their applicability across diverse environments.
Your Tasks Will Include:
- Developing and implementing computer vision algorithms and deep learning models for localization, mapping, object detection and tracking, classification, general image processing, and related functions.
- Analyzing, extending, and improving the existing code base and models.
- Collaborating with other engineering teams (such as flight testing, hardware, and sensor fusion) to integrate computer vision solutions into prototypes and products.
- Testing and evaluating the performance, robustness, and reliability of computer vision systems in varied conditions to ensure their accuracy and efficiency, both in simulated and real-world environments.
Requirements
- Excellent programming skills in C++; experience with Rust is a plus.
- Experience in computer vision systems, ideally incorporating both classical techniques and deep learning methods.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as OpenCV, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
- A Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
