Job Opportunity: Computer Science Teacher and School Technology Lead
Due to rapid expansion, Verbier International School is creating a new dual role for September 2026. We are seeking a Computer Science Teacher and School Technology Lead who is equally comfortable delivering high-quality lessons and supporting the practical technology needs of a growing school. This is a hands-on position combining classroom teaching with operational responsibility for school systems and digital infrastructure.

The Role
This is a genuine dual position combining:
- Classroom Teaching:
- Teach Computer Science across the IB MYP and IBDP.
- Deliver a rigorous and engaging curriculum balancing theory and practical programming.
- Prepare students effectively for IB assessment.
- Contribute to curriculum development as the school grows.
- Support the wider life of the secondary school.
- School Technology and Systems:
- Provide day-to-day IT and systems support across the school.
- Support the smooth running of digital platforms and infrastructure.
- Assist with system integrations and improving digital workflows.
- Manage accounts, permissions, security settings, and API keys where required.
- Identify sensible automation opportunities that improve efficiency.
- Liaise with external IT providers when needed.

The Person
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an excellent Computer Science teacher with experience in MYP and ideally IBDP.
- Has strong practical IT knowledge beyond the classroom.
- Understands data protection, safeguarding, and secure system management.
- Is organized, solution-focused, and reliable.
- Is flexible and comfortable in a fast-developing environment.
- Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Experience with automation, dashboards, data systems, or AI-supported workflows would be advantageous, but professional judgment and a calm, practical mindset are more important.
