GT Commissioning Engineer (m/f)
Your primary responsibility will be to participate in the commissioning and operation of the Ansaldo Gas Turbine at our Test Power Plant in Birr, Switzerland.
Your Tasks
- Commissioning of individual components to complete systems (GT and its auxiliaries) from both mechanical and instrumentation perspectives in line with commissioning documentation and design specifications.
- Conduct functional tests, verify logic interlocks, and troubleshoot as needed.
- Oversee the Gas Turbine's Cold and Hot commissioning phases (motor roll, GT ignition, first synchronization to grid, GT loading up to base load).
- Manage the operation of the Gas Turbine.
Your Profile
- Degree in mechanical engineering with a solid technical understanding.
- 5-10 years of experience in the industrial sector, preferably within the power industry, showcasing a proven track record.
- Minimum of 1-3 years in commissioning activities.
- A collaborative team player open to learning, with strong endurance and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive attitude towards scheduling and managing teamwork while reporting promptly to on-site organization.
- Able and willing to travel globally approximately 20% of the time.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of Italian is an asset, and proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
