Job Title: Commercial Excellence Lead

Location: Switzerland (with potential consideration for secondary locations in Europe or the Middle East)

Travel: Approximately 25% within Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA)

Role Overview

As part of the Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) Commercial Operations & Strategy Organization, the Commercial Excellence Lead will play a pivotal role in enhancing commercial excellence across the region. This position requires strong collaboration across multiple functions and divisions, driving readiness for our emerging launch pipeline in EEMEA. Building trusted partnerships with cluster commercial operations teams is crucial for the success of this role. Key stakeholders include the EEMEA Leadership Team (LT), HHI Commercial Operations, regional Chief Marketing Officers (CMO), Regional Commercial Leads (RCL), and market Commercial Operations Directors (CODs).

Responsibilities

Commercial Capabilities

Drive the evolution of customer engagement in collaboration with Digital Engagement teams. Focus areas include:

  • Sales Force Effectiveness: Oversee sales incentive planning, target setting, CRM operations, and the deployment of Sales Force of the Future (SFOF) in select markets. Monitor segmentation and targeting, as well as Multichannel Cycle Plans (MCCP) efforts in the region, leveraging data and analytics to improve sales force performance.
  • Key Account Management: Ensure the implementation of Key Account Management and Top Customer programs, working closely with Market Access and Franchises to enhance access at the account level.
  • Commercial Trade Channels: Collaborate with HHI on new capability rollouts and assist markets in identifying Commercial Trade Channel (CTC) opportunities.

Operational Governance & Execution

Engage with relevant stakeholders to secure the EEMEA Commercial Operations & Strategy (CO&S) vision. Focus areas include:

  • CO&S Governance: Manage governance activities, including setting the agenda for virtual and face-to-face meetings with market leads.
  • Business Impact Measurement: Develop frameworks to assess the impact of commercial capability investments, ensuring visibility into adoption and effectiveness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and promote opportunities for simplification and harmonization across the region, bringing in best practices and innovative approaches.
  • Marketing Capabilities: Collaborate with Learning & Development (L&D), CMOs, and RCLs to enhance marketing capabilities, focusing on upcoming deployments.
  • Regional Projects: Ensure the effective deployment of projects tied to regional initiatives and priorities.

Launch Excellence

Lead the preparation for commercial capability readiness for our emerging pipeline, focusing on:

  • Launch Capability Readiness: Work with RCLs and market teams to ensure comprehensive Go to Market (G2M) planning and resources are in place prior to launch.
  • Launch Framework & Tracking: Establish a repeatable EEMEA launch-excellence framework, providing visibility to leadership on timelines and milestones.

AI-Enabled Commercial Excellence

Promote the responsible integration of GenAI in commercial workflows to enhance efficiency while ensuring compliance and quality. Collaborate with stakeholders to embed AI solutions into sales, marketing, and field-force operations.

Talent Development

Support the development of talent and capabilities in commercial operations across the region.

Candidate Profile

We seek a commercially minded leader with over 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, commercial operations, and launch readiness. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing commercial excellence in a complex, multinational environment, demonstrating strategic thinking, execution discipline, and the ability to influence without authority. Successful candidates will have experience in leading change, building capabilities, and translating data and technology into measurable business outcomes.
