Position Overview

We are seeking to strengthen our team in Switzerland (Baden) with your expertise and experience as a Combustor Engineer. In this role, the Combustion & Emission Engineer will be responsible for the site tuning of combustion and thermodynamics for the gas turbines within our installed fleet. You will provide crucial support for service contracts, extensions, and product upgrades, leveraging your extensive knowledge and passion for Ansaldo’s gas turbines.

Your Tasks

  • Plan, prepare, and execute combustion-related tasks both on-site and off-site for the installed and serviced gas turbines fleet (GT36, GT26, AE/V94.3A, AE/V64.3A, AE/V94.2).
  • Lead the execution of parameters acquisition and combustion tuning, either in person or remotely, as project requirements necessitate.
  • Coordinate with counterparts in other Ansaldo office locations (Italy, Switzerland & Abu Dhabi).
  • Develop expertise in thermodynamic performance-related tasks.
  • Provide extended engineering support for Plant Support topics concerning combustion and emissions.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and schedule requirements in all work performed.
  • Implement simplifications and lean processes in your area of responsibility.

Your Profile

  • University degree in a field relevant to gas turbines.
  • Motivated, passionate, reliable, and goal-oriented personality.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure, with a willingness to travel globally (up to 40%), often on short notice.
  • Professional planning and presentation skills, along with a good knowledge of MS Office applications and Lotus Notes.
  • Excellent command of English; proficiency in German and/or French is preferred, while Italian is strongly advantageous.
