What is the Opportunity?

At Ovivo, we provide an exciting opportunity for you to enhance your skills and professional experience while collaborating with global experts in water treatment. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production of machined parts in our new CNC workshop. Working alongside the machining workshop manager, you will be responsible for managing CNC machines, creating CNC programs, procuring raw materials, conducting quality control, and overseeing workshop operations.

The role is based in Witterswil, Solothurn (Basel Area), Switzerland, conveniently connected by public transport (Tram 10) and offering free car parking.

What is the Role?

• Create CNC programs directly on the machines, implement these programs, and monitor the production.
• Work independently with 1 CNC milling machine and 1 CNC lathe.
• Support the production of machined parts for our innovation department and new assembly lines by loading and unloading machines.
• Check parts post-machining and maintain up-to-date quality reports.
• Manage the workshop, including the supply of raw materials and consumables, as well as machine maintenance.

Does This Sound Like You?

• You possess an education in CNC machining or programming.
• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in a CNC workshop.
• You are proficient in CNC milling and turning machines, and experience with MAZAK machines is a plus.
• You are familiar with machining stainless steel and plastics such as PP, PE, POM, PVDF, and others.
• You demonstrate self-initiative, creativity, and the ability to work flexibly under pressure.
• You have English proficiency for daily business communication; knowledge of German, French, or other languages is an added advantage.
• You are a citizen of the EU, Switzerland, or possess a valid work permit for Switzerland.
