We are seeking a technology and domain leader to join our development team within Firmwide Risk IT.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who can:
- Lead the development and execution of technology-driven business strategies that enhance organizational performance and competitive positioning.
- Align cloud-native solutions, AI, and big data initiatives with business objectives to deliver measurable value.
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements and market demands.
- Oversee the implementation of technology solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational practices.
- Innovate and contribute to Development and DevOps processes, establishing optimal cloud solutions, including containers, library dependencies, orchestration, and execution pipelines.
Your Team
You will be part of the Firmwide Stress Testing Models within the Firmwide Risk IT at UBS. The Firmwide Risk IT team consists of pioneering software engineering professionals who bring modern computer science and IT platform management to our stakeholders across UBS. We implement common, reusable solutions to ensure that risk management runs on the most optimal and scalable framework. We utilize niche solutions and are expanding toward in-house built solutions, ensuring that UBS Risk Management and Control remains competitive and ahead of our peers.
Your Expertise
- Over 15 years of hands-on experience in software development, with considerable experience in the financial domain (preferably risk domain).
- Proficiency in Java/Python is essential, with additional cloud-native technologies such as AKS, Databricks, and OpenAI being a plus.
- Experience with integration technologies such as RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and messaging systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, along with an understanding of AI, machine learning, and big data technologies.
- Experience in design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement of cloud-native software.
- Able to build highly responsive and fast-updating applications in Agile and Lean environments.
- Skilled in managing individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, with experience in development on both Windows and Unix environments.
- Understanding of enterprise risk frameworks, with experience in at least one of the following areas: stress testing, scenario generation, risk model development, or model validation.
