F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG - July 30, 2024

A Healthier Future

At Roche, our mission drives us to innovate continuously and advance science, ensuring everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come. We aspire to create a world where everyone has more time with the people they love, and that’s what makes us who we are.

Join Our Global Clinical Supply Chain Organization

The Global Clinical Supply Chain Organization, part of our Pharmaceutical Development division, aims to ensure that no patient goes without treatment and no clinical trial experiences delays. Our vision is to establish an adaptive Supply Chain that provides innovative and sustainable clinical supply solutions anytime, anywhere, for anyone. We proudly contribute to Roche's robust pipeline of biopharmaceuticals, as our team oversees the clinical supply of over 100 molecules in more than 600 clinical trials across seven disease areas. We believe our people are our greatest strength, and empowering them is key to realizing Roche’s life-saving purpose.

About the Role

As a Clinical Network Planner, you will oversee the aggregate demand and supply plans for Drug Substance, Drug Product, and/or Finished Goods within a mid to long-term horizon (months 3 to 36) across our network. Your partnership with Molecule/Study Planners and Long Range Planners will be vital to ensure alignment between mid- and long-term plans.

The Opportunity

  • Consolidate, manage, and analyze network-wide demand, supply, and capacity scenarios across various clinical technologies, driving necessary trade-off evaluations for production at both site and network levels.
  • Assess the feasibility of plans by managing high-priority demand requirements and workflows, communicating and escalating plans and risks appropriately through the CD&OP process.
  • Evaluate the capabilities of current clinical supply chain assets to ensure alignment with future customer and pharmaceutical portfolio requirements.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across Clinical Supply to enhance the effectiveness of CD&OP processes, managing sourcing decisions regarding internal manufacturing versus outsourcing to contract manufacturing organizations.
  • Review performance metrics to drive improvements via the CD&OP process, leading cross-functional teams to generate KPIs and maintain optimal performance metrics.

Who You Are

You bring over 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, primarily within the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in Clinical Supply Chain. Your background includes detailed knowledge of Clinical Development, exposure to Technical Development Teams, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain concepts and methodologies. Additionally:

  • You are an independent self-starter with the ability to lead ad hoc teams, perform tasks without supervision, and demonstrate good judgment in setting objectives with excellent communication skills.
  • You possess strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills, along with advanced ERP experience (preferably SAP/4S HANA and OMP) and expertise in data science methodologies.
  • You have a proven collaborative approach, eager to contribute to cross-functional teams, and possess confidence in stakeholder management and customer focus.
  • You hold an academic degree in supply chain management or life sciences, and additional qualifications in Digital and AI strategy, such as a Master’s Degree in AI, would be advantageous.
