Your Responsibilities

As a leader in our organization, you will oversee a diverse team comprising more than 25 members, including scientists, lab technicians, and a quality manager. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring the team to foster talent development in the laboratory.
  • Ensuring the overall delivery and quality of the Clinical Genomics Laboratory.
  • Conducting analysis, control, and reporting on G-banded chromosomes, FISH, SNP-microarray, NGS, and PCR-MRD.
  • Participating in the ongoing development of our Center for Precision Oncology for Children.
  • Ensuring the timely and successful launch of new clinical tests in collaboration with clinical teams.
  • Guiding the development of key operational metrics.
  • Engaging with other leaders in the Center for Pediatric Laboratory Medicine (ZPL) in broader organizational strategic planning and cross-functional efforts.

Your Profile

We are looking for a qualified individual who meets the following criteria:

  • Education as a scientist or physician with several years of experience in tumor cytogenomics.
  • Board certification as a clinical cytogeneticist, e.g., FAMH or an equivalent international certification.
  • Proven expertise in leading a diagnostic laboratory.
  • German language proficiency is advantageous but not mandatory.
