- Engage in a variety of concurrent and multidisciplinary advisory assignments, collaborating with clients to deliver exceptional climate and Natural Catastrophe risk modeling support as part of broader ESG and validation projects.
- Utilize your knowledge of PwC's climate risk methodologies and wider service offerings in actuarial and risk modeling to create sustainable outcomes for our clients.
- Employ scripting and coding skills to conduct analyses that organize, visualize, and interpret complex datasets, refining our current approaches to Natural Catastrophe and Climate modeling.
- Collaborate closely with actuaries and quantitative analysts, working on mandates for both financial and non-financial institutions alongside our expert ESG group.

- Prepare tailored presentation materials designed to address the needs of various stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management.

Your Skill Set
- Hold a MSc or PhD, or be nearing completion of your degree in Natural Catastrophe, Environmental Science, Climate Science, Natural Sciences, or closely related fields such as actuarial science or data science.
- Ideally possess 1 to 3 years of experience in a Natural Catastrophe, climate risk, actuarial (property & casualty), or financial modeling role, preferably with a financial or professional services firm, or have practical experience with re-/insurers or banks.
- Have a keen understanding of the risks organizations face due to climate change and Natural Catastrophe events, and how these can be incorporated into risk management frameworks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL) to perform data analysis or implement scientific models related to Natural Catastrophes and Climate Change, translating these insights into risk assessments and numerical quantifications. Experience with Natural Catastrophe software or climate model development (e.g., flood or atmospheric perils) is an asset.
- Feel confident in developing interactive dashboards to effectively visualize data for stakeholder communication. Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.
- Exhibit a client- and team-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and a passion for fostering innovative solutions to emerging challenges like climate risk and parametric insurance initiatives.
- An interest in pursuing qualifications as a climate modeler, actuary, quantitative analyst, or catastrophe modeler would be advantageous.
- Fluency in English (and/or German) is essential, along with the ability to communicate complex topics to diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in French is an additional benefit.
