Job Function

To reinforce our Geneva office and enhance our Innovation expertise, we are searching for a Client Service Director who is eager to embark on an exciting career path, dedicated to delivering excellence to our key international and local clients. The Client Service Director (CSD) will oversee quantitative research projects, engaging in client briefings and consulting on the most suitable designs, analyses, and presentations of key conclusions and strategic recommendations. Furthermore, the CSD will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with clients, extending beyond the scope of current and future projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for one major client, including:
    • Grow the business with turnover responsibility.
    • Implement the client plan to meet client needs and sustain growth.
    • Develop a strong and solid client relationship to convert opportunities into business.
    • Understand the client’s organization and navigate easily between different teams and workstreams.
    • Clearly capture various internal and external challenges.
  • Deliver a high level of consultancy:
    • Comprehend category and business dynamics.
    • Consult with clients to identify needs and shape the most relevant learning plan.
    • Develop the most appropriate research solutions leveraging up-to-date and innovative techniques.
    • Provide precise and actionable recommendations.
    • Interface with other Ipsos experts and dedicated teams to deliver a holistic perspective to clients.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 2 to 3 people in Geneva.

Collaboration and Support

The CSD and their team will be supported by the research group responsible for project management and execution, ensuring close collaboration with this team.

Reports To: Head of Department.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Degree in marketing, sociology, psychology, business, or related fields.
  • Significant quantitative primary research experience (8 to 10 years) in a market research agency or related area (essential).
  • Strong market analysis skills, ideally within the FMCG, OTC, or tobacco sectors.
  • Proven expertise in leading multi-country projects, as more than 90% of our projects are global.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or German is an advantage.
  • Ability to provide exceptional attention and service to clients.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at various stages simultaneously, demonstrating outstanding organizational skills.
