Client Service Director / Client Service Directress

Job Function

To enhance our Geneva office and strengthen our innovation expertise, we are seeking a Client Service Director who is passionate about delivering excellence to our key international and local clients. The Client Service Director (CSD) will oversee quantitative research projects, engaging in client briefings and providing consultation on the most appropriate design, analysis, and presentation of key conclusions along with strategic recommendations. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining relationships with clients, encompassing both current and future projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for one major client, which includes:
    • Driving business growth and turnover responsibility.
    • Implementing client plans to address needs and ensure sustained growth.
    • Building strong client relationships to convert opportunities into business.
    • Understanding the client's organization and navigating seamlessly between different teams and workstreams.
    • Clearly identifying various internal and external challenges.
  • Delivering a high level of consultancy by:
    • Understanding business dynamics and category nuances.
    • Consulting with clients to identify needs and shape relevant learning plans.
    • Developing innovative research solutions based on contemporary techniques.
    • Providing precise and actionable recommendations.
    • Interfacing with Ipsos expertise and dedicated teams to offer a comprehensive perspective to clients.
  • Managing and coaching a team of 2 to 3 people in Geneva.

The CSD and their team will receive support from the research group responsible for project management and execution, fostering a close collaborative relationship.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Degree in marketing, sociology, psychology, business, or related fields.
  • 8 to 10 years of substantial quantitative primary research experience in a market research agency or a related area (essential).
  • Strong market analysis skills, preferably in FMCG, OTC, or tobacco environments.
  • Proven expertise in leading multi-country projects, as over 90% of projects are global.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or German is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to client service.
  • Adept at multi-tasking, with remarkable organizational skills to manage multiple projects at varying stages simultaneously.
  • Open-minded, curious, dynamic, and enthusiastic.
  • A collaborative spirit and a strong team player.
