Claims Manager Opportunity

Our client, an innovative insurance coverholder specialized in Energy and Property, is seeking a dedicated Claims Manager to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

The Claims Manager will play a crucial role in the organization by performing the following tasks:

  • Receipt and acknowledgement of notifications
  • Claims management, including market participation, communication with loss adjusters, assessment of information provided by loss adjusters and experts, reserve setting, and settlement agreement
  • Liaison with the underwriting team regarding underwriting and feedback from claims experience
  • Preparation of monthly bordereaux and submission to Underwriters
  • Distribution of claims funds to insureds (generally via brokers)
  • Liaison with supporting Underwriters concerning large claims

Ad-Hoc Responsibilities

In addition to regular Claims Management duties, the Claims Manager will also be responsible for ad-hoc tasks such as:

  • Presentations to existing and potential supporting capacity providers
  • Responses to specific queries from carriers and brokers
  • Preparation for and participation in Underwriter-instructed audits
  • Participation in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a new Information Management System

Candidate Profile

As a smaller organization, our client values flexibility in team members and expects the Claims Manager to take on tasks outside their primary area of responsibility as capacity allows. The ideal candidate should possess the following skill set:

  • Approximately 5 years of claims management experience in a technical field
  • Proficiency in Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Detail-oriented mindset
  • Team goal-oriented approach
  • Effective communication skills and readiness to engage
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with German as an advantage
  • Ability to comprehend and assess complex loss adjuster and technical reports
  • Capable of articulating the client’s position effectively, both orally and in writing
