Job Title: Claims Head Switzerland
For our client, a leading global insurance brokerage, risk management, and consulting firm, we are seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Claims Head in Switzerland.
Job Purpose
The Claims Head will spearhead the claims practice in Switzerland, ensuring that claims management processes are both efficient and effective while aligning with the company's strategic objectives. This role encompasses overseeing the claims practice, developing strategies to enhance claims services for our clients, coordinating claims handling processes with insurance partners, and nurturing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
- Manage the claims practice, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement claims strategies that align with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Claims Operations
- Oversee the entire claims process, from initial notification through to resolution.
- Monitor claims performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate claims settlements with insurers for our clients.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for complex claims issues.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on claims-related matters.
Product Development
- Identify and assess gaps in wordings and develop specific wordings tailored to our clients' risk needs.
Legal Support
- Support local legal issues, including compliance, regulatory matters, and company law.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on claims (including legal) activities and performance for senior management.
- Analyze claims data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional legal qualification, including completion of the Swiss Bar Exam, qualifying as a Swiss Attorney at Law is preferred.
- Experience in claims management within the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of Swiss insurance regulations and market practices.
