Techfirm Engineering is seeking a Chemist – Production Support (m/f/d) for our Industrial Services Team. Join us in Switzerland, in the vibrant Basel metropolitan area, and embark on an exciting journey filled with challenges and opportunities for growth.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support during API production campaigns, ensuring a strong presence in critical process steps such as reaction setup, reaction, work-up, and crystallization.
- Monitor and document process parameters, conduct initial data analyses, and contribute to process monitoring and continuous improvement within a GMP-regulated environment.
- Engage in quality management by handling deviations (Quality Events), participating in root cause analyses, and supporting IPC double checks (In-Process Controls).
- Prepare, review, and update production-relevant documentation (SOPs, batch records/HVO, work instructions) in close collaboration with the Production, Quality, and HSE teams.
Your Profile
- Degree in Chemistry (Master / Dipl.-Ing.) or a related field from a recognized university or FH.
- Relevant experience in organic synthesis and/or API or fine chemical production in a GMP environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP, HSE, and preparative organic chemistry, ideally with a blend of shopfloor process support experience.
- Familiarity with PCS/Siemens-based recipe systems and common root-cause analysis methods is an advantage.
- Fluent in German (both spoken and written), with desirable English language skills.
- A practical mindset with a strong sense of responsibility for documentation quality, and a willingness to collaborate with shift teams (early/mid/late shifts).
