Techfirm Engineering is seeking a Chemist – Production Support (m/f/d) for our Industrial Services Team, ready to embrace exciting challenges and growth opportunities in the Basel metropolitan area, Switzerland.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support during API production campaigns, ensuring a strong presence on the shop floor during critical process steps (reaction setup, reaction, work-up, crystallization).
- Monitor and document process parameters, perform initial data analysis, and contribute to process monitoring and continuous improvement in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Manage quality: handle deviations (Quality Events), participate in root-cause analyses, and support IPC double checks (In-Process Controls).
- Prepare, review, and update production-relevant documentation (SOPs, batch records/HVO, work instructions) in close coordination with the Production, Quality, and HSE teams.
Your Profile
- A degree in Chemistry (Master / Dipl.-Ing.) or a related field (University or FH).
- Initial relevant experience in organic synthesis and/or API or fine chemical production in a GMP environment.
- Knowledge of GMP, HSE, and preparative organic chemistry, ideally complemented by shop floor process support.
- Experience with PCS / Siemens-based recipe systems and common root-cause analysis methods is a plus.
- Fluent in German (spoken and written); English language skills are desirable.
- A practical mindset, strong sense of responsibility for documentation quality, and willingness to collaborate with shift teams (early/mid/late shifts).
