Role Overview
As a vital part of our Galley team on our River vessels, the Chef de Partie is responsible for preparing meals that meet the satisfaction of our guests, adhering to Viking River Cruises Standards and HACCP regulations. This position reports directly to the Executive Chef and Sous-Chef.
What You Will Do On Board
- Prepare and serve daily meals (breakfast, lunch, teatime, and dinner) for crew and guests in accordance with the menu cycle and Executive Chef manual.
- Order and manage stock in collaboration with the Executive Chef, ensuring the correct handling of all products and equipment.
- Maintain a clean working area, complying with HACCP standards and company policies.
- Conduct stock takes and inventory as per company procedures, establish par levels, and participate in loading processes.
- Assist in the opening and closing of the ship at the beginning and end of the season, and partake in onboard training programs.
- Perform luggage duty during embarkation and disembarkation days and provide support to other departments as required by supervisors.

About You
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the hotel/catering industry or restaurants.
- International or ship experience is an advantage.
- Good command of English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while prioritizing guest satisfaction.
- Flexibility, resilience under stress, team-oriented, committed, with a positive demeanor and neat appearance.
