Role Overview
The Chef de Partie is a vital member of our Galley team on our River vessels, responsible for preparing meals that delight our guests while adhering to Viking River Cruises standards and HACCP regulations. This role reports directly to the Executive Chef and Sous-Chef.
What You Will Do On Board
- Prepare and serve daily meals (breakfast, lunch, teatime, dinner) for crew and guests according to the menu cycle and Executive Chef manual.
- Manage stock in collaboration with the Executive Chef, ensuring proper handling of all products and equipment.
- Maintain a clean working area in compliance with HACCP rules and company standards.
- Conduct stock takes and inventory following company procedures, establish par levels, and assist in loading processes.
- Help with opening and closing ships at the start and end of the season and participate in onboard training programs.
- Perform luggage duties on embarkation and disembarkation days and assist in other departments as directed by supervisors.

About You
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the hotel/catering industry/restaurants.
- International experience or ship experience is an advantage.
- Good command of English; fluency in additional languages is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while prioritizing guest satisfaction.
- Flexibility, stress resilience, team spirit, commitment, a positive personality, and a neat appearance.
