Full-Time Chef (Taiwanese Kitchen)
We are a small, family-owned Taiwanese restaurant located in Kreis 4, Zurich. Since our establishment in July 2021, we have cultivated a loyal following based on the novelty, variety, and quality of both our food and service. Each meal is prepared with meticulous care to ensure an excellent dining experience. We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time chef to join our team as soon as possible.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen helpers and preparation chefs to set up the kitchen for service and prepare ingredients.
- Oversee stock and inventory management.
- Supervise cleaning and food storage practices in compliance with HACCP guidelines.
- Prepare and cook main course wok-fry dishes.
- Contribute creativity and fresh ideas in developing the menu and specials.
Your Profile
- Reside in or near Zurich, Kreis 4, or be willing to relocate to Switzerland.
- Demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to learn while effectively collaborating with team members and maintaining composure under pressure.
- Possess intermediate English communication skills (both reading and speaking); proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
- Have knowledge of Taiwanese food and culture, along with experience in Taiwanese cuisine, or at a minimum, experience in preparing Chinese food.
- Formal training qualifications are an advantage.
What We Offer
- Immediate start date.
- Full-time hours (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday lunch from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and Tuesday to Sunday nights from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM).
- Monthly wage contract in accordance with L-GAV guidelines, based on experience and training, including a 13th-month salary and 25 paid vacation days.
