Full-Time Chef (Taiwanese Kitchen)
We are a small, family-owned Taiwanese restaurant located in Kreis 4, Zurich. Since our opening in July 2021, we have cultivated a strong following due to the novelty, variety, and quality of our food and service. Each meal is prepared with meticulous care to ensure an exceptional dining experience. We are seeking a full-time chef to join our team as soon as possible.
Your Tasks
- Manage kitchen helpers and preparation chefs to set up the kitchen for service and prepare ingredients.
- Oversee stock and inventory management.
- Supervise cleaning and food storage in compliance with HACCP guidelines.
- Cook main course wok-fry dishes.
- Bring creativity and fresh ideas to the development of the menu and specials.
Your Profile
- Living in or near Zurich, Kreis 4, or willing to relocate to Switzerland.
- Reliable and hard-working with a strong willingness to learn; able to cooperate with team members and remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Intermediate communication skills in English (reading and speaking) are essential; proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
- Knowledge of Taiwanese food and culture, and experience as a chef in Taiwanese cuisine is preferred; a minimum experience in preparing Chinese food is required.
- Training qualifications are an advantage.
Offer
- Start date: Immediately.
- Full-time hours (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday lunch from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM; Tuesday to Sunday nights from 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM).
- Monthly wage contract following L-GAV guidelines, depending on experience and training, including a 13th-month salary and 25 days of paid vacation.
