Key Responsibility Areas

  • Develop and implement category strategies, managing assigned procurement categories throughout their strategic lifecycle.
  • Conduct spend, market, supplier, and demand analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimization potential through data-driven insights.
  • Design, maintain, and enhance KPI dashboards, benchmarks, and business cases to support informed decision-making.
  • Drive the harmonization of products, specifications, and data structures while promoting standardization and continuous process improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, facilitate stakeholder committees, and collaborate closely with Procurement, Hospitals, Supply Chain Management, and business functions.

Your Profile

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, complemented by training in Strategic Procurement and Category Management.
  • At least five years of experience in Category Management, ideally within healthcare or another complex and regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with proven expertise in spend analytics, KPI management, statistics, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, build alignment across diverse interest groups, and communicate confidently with executive-level stakeholders.
  • A structured, self-driven, and solution-oriented approach, along with strong SAP MM and Microsoft Office skills. A blend of commercial mindset, excellent execution, and project management capabilities, with fluent communication skills in both German and English.
