Job Opportunity: C2PA Project Manager
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is seeking a talented and dedicated C2PA Project Manager to join our team. As digital content continues to grow exponentially, establishing the provenance of media is vital for ensuring transparency and trust. Our work focuses on attaching and displaying provenance information to various media types, enabling audiences to trace content origins.
Principal Responsibilities
The C2PA Project Manager will play a key role within the EBU T&I department, acting as the primary contact for all C2PA-related technical projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to Industry Standards: Represent EBU in ongoing developments of specifications covering Provenance and Authenticity of media content, including C2PA, SMPTE, and JPEG Trust associations.
- C2PA Integration: Actively support the integration of C2PA into media workflows and products by collaborating with requestors to define project scopes and estimate required time and resources.
- Technical Implementation: Develop and maintain the EBU C2PA toolbox for members to utilize in Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, leveraging open-source components and integrating with partner systems.
- Technical Leadership: Investigate technologies and best practices, build relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to the formulation of new recommendations aimed at enhancing trust in the media industry.
- Industry Analysis: Continuously gather and analyze developments related to content provenance.
- Group Coordination: Coordinate EBU members focused on C2PA, fostering collaboration and onboarding new members while developing activities for the group.
- Technical Queries: Serve as the main contact for all technical inquiries related to C2PA, acting as the liaison for members and other stakeholders.
- Project Management: Participate in, manage, coordinate, and report on technical projects with internal and external partners.
- EBU Representation: Represent EBU at conferences and seminars, engaging with press and media as an articulate public speaker who enjoys knowledge sharing.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven track record and relevant qualifications in managing research projects.
- Experience in mobile telecommunications technology and media distribution.
- Fluency in English and French.
- A Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
