Job Opportunity: Buyer - Aerospace and Nuclear Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and services in alignment with production needs and business demand.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms to achieve best value and cost efficiencies.
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve supply, quality, and delivery issues.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability and continuity of supply.
• Analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, and purchasing trends to facilitate effective stock management.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support strategic sourcing initiatives across the supply base.
• Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and purchasing data within ERP systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain functions.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a Buyer, Procurement, or Purchasing role within manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or other regulated industries.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience in managing purchase orders, supplier performance, and inventory requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness with a proactive approach to cost reduction and supplier development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
