We are currently seeking a Business Engineer with interface management for our client based in Frankfurt (Main), Hesse, Germany. This position offers a flexible working arrangement with 60% remote and 40% onsite responsibilities.

Your Qualifications

• Experience in business analysis/business engineering for development teams.
• Direct collaboration experience with software developers.
• Experience in Scrum teams and scaled agile organizations (e.g., SAFe).
• Familiarity with interfaces (e.g., APIs), data structures, and integration processes.
• Strong understanding of the interplay between interfaces, data, and partner applications.
• Ability to recognize and assess the impacts of changes early on.
• Skills to present technical contexts clearly and appropriately to various audiences.
• Capability to merge technical and business perspectives into actionable recommendations.
• Ideally, experience in collaborating with external partners.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style.
• Strong communication skills, initiative, and confident demeanor in diverse stakeholder settings.
• Proficiency in German (at least B2) and English (at least B2), both written and spoken.

Your Tasks

• Provide technical and specialist supervision for the further development of a B2B partner interface.
• Clarify requirements regarding scope, budget, and technical feasibility in preparation for implementation.
• Conduct refinements with the development team while adequately specifying requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces with software architecture and other development teams.
• Accompany development teams during implementation, serving as the primary contact for software developers and involved teams.
• Clarify and develop technical requirements concerning maintainability and error prevention.
• Advise sales partners on the structure, functionality, and optimal use of the interface.
• Analyze partner implementations and identify causes of integration issues.
• Assess the impacts of changes to interfaces, data formats, and data structures on partners, systems, and frontends.
• Manage communication regarding interface changes, from announcement through rollout to follow-up.
• Work closely with account management, development, and business departments to ensure consistent information dissemination.
