Job Opportunity: Business Development Manager – Private Equity
We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join a leading international business law firm specializing in Private Equity, located in central Paris. If you have a solid background in Business Development within the Private Equity sector, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment, we would love to hear from you.
This prominent law firm advises public and private companies, financial institutions, and governmental organizations. As part of the Private Equity practice, you will work closely with BD leadership, the Paris BD team, Partners, and Associates to play a key role in executing the practice's business development strategy while supporting its continued growth both in France and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of the Private Equity business development strategy for the Paris practice, aligned with the firm’s broader client, sector, and global priorities.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of business plans, including measurable KPIs, timelines, and regular monitoring of progress.
- Support client development plans and identify cross-practice and cross-border opportunities in collaboration with Partners, client teams, and sector BD colleagues.
- Prepare tailored pitch materials, panel submissions, and client proposals in close collaboration with lawyers and relevant pitch teams.
- Utilize client, market, pipeline, and CRM data to identify opportunities, track activities, and offer clear reporting and insights to stakeholders.
- Monitor competitor developments, client movements, and market trends to inform business development priorities and actions.
- Collaborate with BD, marketing, and shared services teams across the firm to ensure consistent delivery, effective use of tools, and strong coordination across regions.
Required Profile:
- Significant Business Development experience supporting Private Equity services within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of Private Equity transactions, fund formation, and market dynamics.
- Proven experience working closely with Partners and senior stakeholders in an international environment.
- Strong pitching, proposal writing, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and spoken skills in both French and English.
