Business Development Manager for CNC Machines in the HM Carbide Inserts Industry

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and enhance our presence in the carbide inserts industry. This role focuses on the promotion and sales of specialized machines, including Automated Powder Presses, 5-axis CNC machining centers, and carbide inserts inspection machines.

Job Description

• Develop and engage with existing and potential customers in Asia and Europe, establishing strong business relationships for the procurement of specialized machines.
• Regularly visit customers, particularly in China and select locations in Europe, for sales, marketing, and technical training.
• Maintain contact and negotiate commercially with European machine partner companies to better understand customer needs and formulate effective market strategies.
• Scout for premium used CNC machines, specifically 5 or 6-axis CNC tool and carbide inserts grinding machines from reputable brands such as EWAG, Walter, ANCA, Saccke, Rollomatic, Stähli, Wendt, and Agathon, to further develop our business.
• Coordinate with partners and colleagues in our China office to provide commercial and technical support for sold projects, including commissioning, spare parts, training, and overhauls.
• Stay informed about market and industry trends, and facilitate training on machine products at partner companies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the CEO.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical or commercial roles, with a strong technical background in new or used CNC Power Press and 5-axis CNC machines for cemented carbide and other hard metal cutting tools and inserts.
• Solid understanding of the pressing, HSC machining, and grinding processes, with familiarity in Swiss and German CNC machine brands such as Osterwalder, Dorst, Mikron, Fehlmann, EWAMATIC Line, Agathon, and Wendt.
• Deep understanding of the HM carbide inserts production chain.
• Excellent business development skills and experience in constructing effective business models.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Asia, particularly China, and occasionally within Europe.
• A diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Fluency in Chinese and English is mandatory; knowledge of additional local languages, such as German and French, is advantageous.
