Business Development Manager for CNC Machines in the HM Carbide Inserts Industry

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team, focusing on CNC machines utilized in the carbide inserts industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and manage relationships with clients across Asia and Europe, particularly for specialized machines such as Automated Powder Press, 5-axis CNC machining centers, and carbide inserts inspection machines.

Job Description

• Develop and engage existing and prospective customers in Asia and Europe for special machine projects in the carbide inserts industry.
• Conduct regular visits to clients in Asia, especially in China, as well as select locations in Europe, for sales, marketing, and technical training purposes.
• Maintain ongoing communication and commercial negotiations with European machine partner companies to deepen their understanding of customer needs and devise appropriate market strategies.
• Research and evaluate premium used CNC machines, particularly 5 or 6-axis CNC tool and carbide inserts grinding machines such as EWAG, Walter, ANCA, Saccke, Rollomatic, Stähli, Wendt, and Agathon to facilitate business development.
• Coordinate with partners and colleagues in our China office to ensure commercial and technical support for sold projects, including commissioning, spare parts, training, and refurbishment.
• Stay informed about market and industry trends, along with product training at partner companies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the CEO.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of technical or commercial experience, with a strong background in new or used CNC Power Press and 5-axis CNC machines for cemented carbide and other hard metal cutting tools and inserts.
• Comprehensive understanding of pressing, HSC machining, and grinding processes, as well as familiarity with various Swiss and German brands of CNC machines available in the market (e.g., Osterwalder, Dorst, Mikron, Fehlmann, EWAMATIC Line, Agathon, Wendt).
• In-depth knowledge of the HM carbide inserts production chain.
• Exceptional business development skills and experience in constructing successful business models.
• A willingness and ability to travel regularly to Asia, particularly China, and occasionally within Europe.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Fluent in Chinese and English; proficiency in at least two local languages (German and French) is preferred.
