Join Our Team as a Business Development Manager for Japan
We are excited to announce an opening in our Sales Department at our head office in Beringen/SH for the position of Business Development Manager for Japan. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving the international growth of BBC Cellpack Electrical Products in the Japanese market, focusing on low- and medium-voltage cable accessories.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a sales strategy that enhances our market presence and ensures economic success. Your primary objective will be to expand our current customer network while adapting our sales strategies to local market conditions.
Your Responsibilities
- Continually develop the distributor business by identifying and targeting new markets, as well as expanding and evaluating existing distribution partners in Japan.
- Create a comprehensive regional business plan and define, implement, and monitor the corresponding sales strategy.
- Actively manage partnerships through business targets agreements.
- Provide commercial and technical support to customers.
- Conduct market and competition analyses.
- Engage in approval work with energy suppliers.
- Monitor market trends, external influencing factors, and competitors to ensure our competitive edge.
- Ensure the implementation of necessary internal and external processes and procedures.
- Take responsibility for incoming orders and sales performance.
- Manage key accounts and provide personal support to important customers and partners.
- Efficiently process customer inquiries and offers.
- Define market-specific acquisition methods and choose target customers, distributors, and sales partners.
- Implement effective market development measures.
- Prepare for and participate in trade fairs and customer training sessions.
Your Qualifications
- A university degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical Engineering) or Business Administration; an MBA is required.
- Over three years of experience in a similar role as a Business Development Manager for a global company.
- Extensive knowledge of marketing methods, with at least three years of experience.
- Technical expertise in low voltage; knowledge in medium voltage is an advantage.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities.
- Fluency in English and Japanese, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
- Deep intercultural understanding of Japan and Switzerland, particularly related to working in international environments.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, such as Salesforce, and ERP systems like SAP.
