The Opportunity
The EY Business Consulting team offers a wide array of functional and cross-country services, dedicated to providing trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry, including Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance sectors. As the Financial Services industry undergoes significant changes and faces new challenges, this is an exciting time to join our evolving team and assist clients in navigating the changing market and evolving customer needs.
As a Consultant in our Transformation Execution Practice, you will support demanding transformations in WAM, BCM, and insurance initiatives, designing, planning, and delivering impactful solutions for our clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Pursuing innovative, business-led, tech-enabled transformation initiatives across the Financial Services sector.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, business partners, and multi-disciplinary teams to shape ideas, design solutions, and deliver measurable, sustainable improvements in business performance.
- Utilizing storytelling skills to present recommendations to our clients clearly and analytically.
- Leveraging and further developing our global EY methodologies, frameworks, tools, accelerators, and enablers to meet various transformation goals.
- Enhancing your skills through hands-on client experience and internal training opportunities.
- Facilitating internal and external roundtables and thought leadership sessions.
- Supporting go-to-market and business development initiatives to continuously offer valuable solutions for our clients.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Excellent academic record from a leading university or university of applied sciences.
- Strong motivation to succeed in a dynamic consulting environment within the financial services sector.
- Experience in team-based projects through university or internships.
- A curious mind with the ability to systematically and effectively structure problems.
- Exceptional presentation skills and a client-focused attitude.
- A strong team player, eager to support solutions in highly motivated and diverse teams across functions and geographies.
- Fluency in English and German is mandatory; Swiss German and any other language are a plus.
Ideally, You Will Also Have:
- Initial work experience in consulting and/or Financial Services (e.g., internships, working student positions).
- Experience or interest in Target Operating Model (TOM) design and process improvements.
- Experience or interest in Agile and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Experience or interest in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria.
