Job Opportunity: Academic Librarian
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Academic Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting SHMS staff and students by enhancing their information literacy and research capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver in-person and online support to SHMS staff and students in information literacy, research skills, study skills, and access to SHMS and University of Derby resources.
- Manage and coordinate the Student Adviser Scheme (SAS) at SHMS.
- Purchase and process all new library materials and resources.
- Maintain and manage the SHMS print collection.
- Develop and deliver library and information literacy sessions across all academic programmes.
- Promote new resources and create guidance materials to support faculty and students in their use of library services and resources.
- Provide additional support for neurodivergent students, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain the SHMS Library Moodle pages.
